01
A path from El Salvador to California medicine
Dr. Julio Meza was born and raised in El Salvador. He graduated cum laude from Universidad Evangelica de El Salvador. He then began a surgical internship at Hospital Militar Central in El Salvador. His medical background gives context for the site's detoxification care and medication-assisted treatment guides.
After moving to the United States, he taught future medical assistants. He also led programs in San Fernando, CA; North Hollywood, CA; and Los Angeles, CA. He has worked as both a doctor and a teacher. Each role calls for clear speech.
02
Training in family and addiction medicine
Dr. Meza completed a Family Medicine residency and an Addiction Medicine fellowship at UCLA. He is an Addiction and Family Medicine Physician at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He also completed Psychiatry in Primary Care certification at UC Irvine. Related site guides cover the detox program and co-occurring disorder care.
Family and addiction medicine may involve more than one concern. Drug use, body health, mental health, home life, and follow-up care may affect one another. A safe plan starts with a full medical review.
03
Compassionate, nonjudgmental medical care
Dr. Meza values kind and respectful care. People need room to share what they used, how they feel, what they fear, and what took place before. The site also explains its clinical review standards and common admissions questions.
A public bio cannot show what care a person needs. Personal advice requires a medical review. Urgent signs may need emergency care.
A clear boundary
A biography introduces the person. It does not replace a conversation.
Roles, schedules, program fit, and who may participate in an individual's care should be confirmed directly. General educational information on this site is not a diagnosis, assessment, or personal treatment recommendation.
